SATA power connectors were not designed for use with more than like 25w, I would definitely not use them with adapters to provide 6-pin PCI-E.

@SIRacer09 older cards are just fine using SATA-molex adapters for risers, it's only the RX480 risers that would benefit from Molex connection instead, what with their 2-3x higher slot power draw.
