Newb here setting up first Rig

Set up window10 pro

Should I run Antivirus? If so, what is best?
Should I run through a Firewall? If so what is Best Firewall?

Wallets... Best online and physical?

Dual mining yes or no?

What is decent pool for a big dummy?

Thanks in advance, feel free to flame me. lol

Sincerely,
Big Dummy

I personally just use the built in antivirus and firewall for windows 10 on all my rigs. As long as you are behind a router, you will most likely be okay.

Wallets... personal choice for everyone. I use Exodus, but a hear a lot of people who use jaxx. Hardware there are a couple and all pretty good. I'm using a Ledger Nano S. I would recommend putting it on a hardware wallet once you get so much in your desktop wallet (whatever $ you are comfortable with).

Dual Mining. Yes. You can tune it right, it won't hurt your ETH hashrate much and you'll get extra coins to sell/trade/etc. (I do ETH + Decred)

Lots of pools out there, i'd google that one. I personally use nanopool.org

    Hope that helps! :)

I would go for Norton or Kaspersky.

ESET seems to have less overhead

be sure to white-list your miner executable in whatever AV you choose to be using, as some could flag it as "riskware"
