how to debug Geth source code step by step?

Hi,

I'm learning the Geth source code, I wonder how to debug Get source code step by step?

I have tried to use gdb to do that on Linux, however it's not easy to use and sometimes it's not accurate.
I have tried to use Visual Studio Code to do that, unfortunately, the breakpoint can't work.

Is there any easy way to do that?
