Hello there,
i am quite new to Minig and read a lot about that 480 is good for minig etc, but i had some 1070 hanging around and so i gave it a try.
I found the following guide:
https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/7780/gtx1070-linux-installation-and-mining-clue-goodbye-amd-welcome-nvidia-for-miners/p1In which
@kruisdraad said he made 37 MH/s with overclocking +285 & +1800 and "heavy tuning". Sadly he never mentioned the real clock timings but guessing he used founders edition it would be Base/Boost/Mem 1791/1968/9600 .
I overclocked my 1070 with micron memory (Samsung should be able of even more) to Boost/Mem 2150/10000 but i only reached 33MH/s. So i am wondering if anyone reached the 37MHs and which tuning else he made. Maybe someone can give me a hint where to look.
Im using:
Ubuntu 14.04LTS
Nvidia 375.51
CUDA 8.0.61
Genoil-cudaminer (master)
Thx

I got the MSI 1070 Armor 8G OC .
what tweaks did you do to get 33?
If you are 'new' don't expect 37, expect 30.
What's better is sacrificing a few MH/s and dual mining, I can get ~29MH/s ETH and 40MH/s LBRY on a Gigabyte 1070 ITX.
I am new to this forum.
I recently started mining ethereum. Learnt quite alot here. Thanks all.
I have couple of Zotac Nvidia GTX 1070 mini. I am able to squeeze out 29.5MH/s for ethereum and 270 - 300MH/s for Sia coin after playing around for a while.
Settings are 75% power cclock +200 and mclock +650.
Sharing this info so that someone else can use it or can suggest better settings.
Thanks

It is/was actually my gaming machine.
I use a Gigabyte GTX 1070 Founders Edition with Arctic Hybrid 3 140 cooler. The backplate VRAM cooler is complemented with little cooling blocks on the other side. I go with 60% Power Limit, -200 Clock, + 650 Memory (MSI Afterburner) ==> 52°C max while mining with 30°C outside temperature. The GPU takes 90W according to HWiNFO, don't know about the whole system tho.
The second card is a Zotac GTX 1070 AMP! Extreme with the good stock cooler and 50% Power Limit, -400 Core, + 650 Memory ==> 57°C max, 125W.
I guess, with the good cooling equipment, i could overclock more, esp. since both have Samsung memory. But less energy consumption and longer lifespan is more important to me.
I think, if i would push it anywhere close to 37 MH/s for any of the GPUs, I will see them burn in no time.
@zuzux Agree!
