ETH what is going on?? Why is it more profitable to mine XMR on GPU instead ETH, I've got 4 R9 Fury X and I'm getting 3kh/s with them which at current price is smth like 16$ comparable to 7$ ETH mining...

Sounds unique to those cards. I did the math and XMR seems to be lower by a good amount on my cards but the Fury X may be better suited to it.

What miner are you mining with?

the question is can XMR hold its price. If it can. I'm guessing a lot of hashrate will go that way. Just for your information. 390 and 480 are supported, they are at 740 ish h/s

@rether Tried Claymore, but ended with @Wolf0 gpu miner, and I get 750h/s/card with 1020 rawintensity, tried higher and lower, but this is the best for my card, and it's not even pushing it's limits..just 43°C

The monero miners which are public at least dont push your cards even close. My rx 480s are running at 45°C and 50% fans and using 40W less than mining ethereum. It would be more profitable if someone made a good miner for it to push the cards harder. And claymore is running a 2,5% fee and all the pools have 2% fee. Monero people are greedy.

Maybe @Genoil could make a monero miner, would be happy to pay a 1% fee for a miner that pushes my cards to the limits.

@trump104 You're right man on all spots, maybe @Genoil will achieve that very soon if we support it. I tried pools with low fees almost 0% they are getting blocks but no still no balance on my account. I will stick to moneropool.com till something more realible bumps into light.
Also as I can see most pools donate to Monero devs almost 10% of their profits, that's why this coin will rock to the moon

rx 480 8gb red devil is 740h/s . With a good miner it would be over 850 for sure. Its not running full load with these miners that are out, but still good for profit.

I'm cpu mining XMR now. ~390h/s with a i7-5930k @ 3.9ghz

however I'm mining at minexmr.com (only 1%fee) and its only reporting 185h/s...

@Sequoia93 tried all pools with fee below 1,9% and concluded that all are scammers, because I can see my hash but balance is not updating even a block is found...

In one month the anon hype is probably over again. In next year ETH will probably be worth alot more then today.

The thing is to see things a little more longterm.

Like ihacks says, mine XMR -> exchange to eth as long as XMR is better to mine.

I, however, am just mining xmr and shift with my gaming setup for lulz. Dedicated rigs are 100% eth until POS.

my Nano's @1100/500 make ~855 - 860 H/s, and their core power drops from ~145W ETH to ~92-94W XMR. Also not the badest thing if you have higher energy costs.

Tried mining XMR with my 1070 but it only gets like 400 h/s unfortunately. I don't think there's any miners optimized for pascal cards for XMR.

@Yogi Then create a script to do that for you, use the API of an exchange like Poloniex to do that for you automatically at the current price
