The only way I solved this (I assume you're using TeamViewer) is to use a dummy plug. Strangely enough, my rig became more stable after connecting a dummy plug to it..
@HolyJoker doesn't work with headless 470 + 16.8.2, there are no resolution options in that additional settings panel.
@adaseb This also makes sense given the low power draw and power connector requirements for Polaris cards. Many of us already have +1000w PSUs which are now total overkill even for a 5-6GPU rig, and yet don't have enough SATA/Molex strands to do 1 per GPU as is safest with Polaris. A mixed rig makes more balanced use of available power connectors.
But I don't think a 290 will work, as Hawaii/Fiji cards have this exact same issue (no VGA or analog DVI)
