That "someone" is our very own beastly @Heliox - Thanks man!

Will try this on my Nitro 370's - they've been underwhelming to say the least thus far.

Any info on the specs of this optimization? Whats the power draw like? (I know 370s are fairly low as it is)

I still have a single 370 left (Asus Strix 4gb). Curious if this bios is worth playing around with. Still debating on getting one more 480 to replace the 370. Current setup is 3x 480s, 2x 380s, 1x 370.

Hmm, interesting. I'll have to install this later and see if there's improvement. What hashrates were you seeing at 1080/1650?

    Aha, yeah that's me

Will give you an increase of around 2+Mh

    Have fun!

Hey @Heliox, awesome to see that you've built this for 370s! I've also got a rig with 370s so I'm gonna try this.

Is there any information how to flash the ROM with Linux?

    Create a bootable USB

    Check here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1443242/the-r9-290-290x-unlock-thread

Click on R290 unlock guide and get the software :)

    Greetings!

    Would it work on 2GB 370? I have GIGABYTE R7 370 WindForce 2X OC 2GB DDR5 Version.
  • cornlingercornlinger Member Posts: 107
Gave this anybody a try? I actually can't try it with my rigs...

Would like to try if I can read of more people using it without issues, I have never played with the BIOS and it scares me a bit (:

The flash was pretty easy, just follow the instructions and run the boot drive creation program as an administrator.

With 1080/1650 my MSI gets14.2 Mh with @Heliox 's ( thank you) bios. Mind you this is my display. The ss didn't save and I don't remember what the normal bios was with those clocks. With 1150/1500 it gained .1 Mh. With 1175/1660 it gets 15.5 Mh, which is only .1-.2 less than my Strix get at the same clock on their original bios. When I got them in early May, the Strix ran at .5 Mh more than the MSI.

I'll try it out on the strix, with power measurements, when I get a chance.

Would this work on r7 265?

Hello, mate this is good software. I flashed my 380 with this.
Don't forget to read readme and did a backup your bios.

P.S. I want to buy h81 btc and answer me please - do you use powered risers or not with your 370's?
  • bbcoinbbcoin Member Posts: 377 ✭✭✭

Finally found the time to flash my cards, they went up from 13,3 to 14,6 MHs, clocks at 1080/1650 as the original poster said. I'm trying a little around with the clocks to get the best out of this cards.

Another effect is on the power usage. Went up from about 700 to 850...

    Using Sapphire R7 370 Nitro 4GB.

I've had my 370s since April. The highest I've been able to sustain on a MSI OC Gamer R7 370 is 1150 / 1500. I recommend running fans at 95-100% speed. Temps are fairly cool, but every few days I experience freezes here and there.

Edit: To clarify, this is the absolute most I would run the GPU and memory at. I think 1 out of 13 R7-370 has died now. :(
