I previously had the go-ethereum client built from source according to the instructions here: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/905/go-ethereum-cli-ethereal-simple-build-guide-for-osx
(not the one-line version).
Now that I noticed a homebrew install option available, I deleted the old files and tried to reinstall through homebrew:
$ brew install go-ethereum
==> Installing go-ethereum dependency: eth-go
==> Cloning https://github.com/ethereum/eth-go.git
==> Checking out branch master

Can someone identify the cause of the problem? (OSX 10.9.4)
