2 rigs are running with corsair RM1000x/i 1 rig (4GB) runs on rm850x (i know, a bit silly but the psu was unused and I dont want to by a third 1000w psu)
The setting is the famous @boysie setting. Slightly modified.
The 4gb rig consumes <700w @ wall The 8GB need around 800-850w @ wall
My pc (with two cards) needs ~300w (watercooling an shit) With this cards i sometimes play around.
1 rig is xfx, dunno why but they hash a little lower then my sapphire rig.
Settings ~
Clock -22% All states 800 Memclock 2000-2100 Voltage 800-850 4GB 880-920 8GB
Some cards run lower, other needing a bit more mv.
Sia intensity 28-30 (depends on the rig)
Rock solid, only downtime is when iam fucking with the settings or upgrade the miner Version.
Mh/s 24,5-25,5mh/s eth 350-380mh/s sia
I forgot: All cards run with x1 to x16 risers powered. And one "8Pin" from the psu powers two cards.
At night under 2000rpm, and 'silent'. With silent i mean i cant hear the rig in my apartment.
With 35c in the room 75-80 is actually good, If you use the Outer Fan the big ones how much does the Temps Drop? Did you try to place horizontical the cards at first?does vertical provides better temps?
@vlcmstne I saw this once but it never happend again. The fans are "locked" with min-max
@frogman The temps are nearly always at 70c, Wattman regulates that with the Fan speed.
No the cards where never horizontical (is this a correct word?), i needed the space, and the heat goes up with the vertical mounting.
If i turn on the external Fan the gpu fans run a bit lower ~500rpm maybe and the room is more circulated.
yes I Know that the heat goes up but in some forum Ive read its some cards have better temps when installed horizontally** and other cards perfom better vertical
I love that standing rig. What is that an aquarium stand or something. Not sure if anyone can afford the property tax to keep that up.
Imho that vertical rig is a terrible waste of space and poor design I mean each of the cards is getting hotter and hotter as convection does it's thing.
Started mining about a month ago with an old 7950 and dell PC I had laying around. Was having a lot of fun and also received my bonus at work so I decided to sink some money into it. Rig 3 3x XFX RX 480 8GB - However these three have been moved to Rig 2 and this one is now mining Expanse with an MSI 7850 and MSI R7 360. I just don't have pics currently.
Rig 2 3x XFX RX 480 8GB on one board HIS IceQ 7950 and PowerColor 380X 4GB on the other board
Rig 1 - I had to put this one in our shoe closet because it kept tripping the circuit breaker and there is limited space in our 1bd apartment. 2x Gigabyte RX 480 8GB (bleh) 2x Sapphire RX 480 8GB 2x XFX RX 480 8GB
this is not rig porn this is rig garbage horoooor I dont know what to say ....are u people know for something with nice look.....u realy dont have 20-30 usd to buy normal riig or what? horor look horor for cards
@work thats better than aluminum. Still pretty dumb, because some anti static bags have conducting traces on the outside of the bag (or theyre just completely conductive, Ive had one of those before), which can short out solder points on the back of the motherboard
In very general description... Antistatic bag with silver reflection is made out of metal and it's meant to conduct electricity on the outside so that it doesnt flow inside the bag...
From electronic point of view using grey/silver Antistatic bag with live equipment can cause damage.
If you need to use antistatic bag for working equipment use pink which is made out of plastic.
