its too bad you couldn't put more weight onto earlier submitted shares per round or something to discourage pool hoping idk why people leave then come back, odd to me
from a few days back i'm having power issues with my 7 rigs ((( i was only away for about 2h.... thats when someone found the block "uncle".... already found 6 blocks in this pool......
Backend-wise the only thing I may need to do is add more nodes/switch to PPLNS to stop those pesky pool hoppers. It doesn't even affect me that people are hopping around (in fact it'll probably hurt me, as they won't come to the pool anymore), but it still pisses me off.
That's why I want to change the frontend, which at least 15 other pools use (even if they're at 0H/s).
Hi, just a quick question about your pool - what part/s of the world is it in now? I'm in Australia and using the asian node of Ethpool (which is a "predictable solo mining" pool) because it's the one with the fastest ping to me. I haven't tried ping testing this one yet but I believe most of the data between Aus and USA crosses the Pacific. I guess I could point one of my rigs at it and try...
@newmz US-W, but we'll add more nodes as we get more hashing power. It should still work fine though, ping the server to check.
@joago Block maturity takes up to 520 blocks, usually it's less, but not this time.
It may also be a result of hard/soft fork stuff, let me go check the consensus (or rather what the big pools are using) and come back and state what I'm going to do about that.

@vlcmstne Why your bad? Uncles are good things.
Also there is a system that favors constant miners rather than pool hoppers, it's called PPLNS.
I'm switching the theme on this, full site rewrite using material design standards (or not depending on how lazy I am) coming soon(tm).
so much unluck

Thoughts on the redesign?
This is just a stylistic change, and it has not been made live yet. I'll wait for feedback before putting it up.

It seems we have to decide if to go on the proposed fork or not. Check it in the general section, the story is everywhere. However, if you decide to do it, here is what you have to do: https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/pull/2715#issuecomment-226943302
