Can't wait to see the updates. Site has been working well since I joined and I really enjoy seeing the stats . Any idea of when the site will be back up?
Still nothing, unless you do a major overhaul of your database it should'nt really take long to deploy a frontend change, especially if it is a "minor" one? Even then it should be semi automatic to upgrade your database? Don't you have a test instance where you tested the upgrade before hand? I find it worrying if you do the upgrade directly on your production instance... Hope you get the site back up soon...
Hoping he comes back and nobody loses ether because of this. Doesn't help the upstart pools either when people get scammed and they lose trust in new pools...
Not going to claim this post isn't an ad, but you could join my pool at http://etherocean.com/. We're fully distributed (albeit across one database and mining instance), but I'm hoping to change that soon. So far we don't have many blocks found, but I expect that to go up as more hashrate is added.
Join ethermine.rocks Much better owner and actually responds. I never had a good feeling about etherite and the constant promises of new features and things that never happened.
If these features were ever to be done it would be by the software creator on github. Not some random owner who can some how pay all fees, server costs and the dozens of hours it would take to code these additional features. Lots of promises and none seem to have been kept.
I am not surprised it's down and that he has gone dark on here and Twitter.
Anybody else get a look at the insanely large miner before the site went down? I think they were showing 90GH/s or something like that, but the site went down before I could see their full stats page.
I'll most likely move my farm back to Etherite once I crack this block at ethpool....would like to spread the hashrate around a little more and finally have my rigs running pretty stable.
We would love to have you back thesmokingman, currently Etherite is no listed on etherchain or etherscan. You can use the links below to check the pool address and see blocks mined/transactions sent:
Didn't see the 90GH/s but there was one that was 2+Gh/s for a couple days when there was a bunch of blocks found. I think I'm out a few ethereum before I moved my rigs back to ethpool.
WOW see the last couple big transactions. I'm think we got scammed!!! They end up in a couple big accounts 0x1699333a4e46093e15a94b4a213b88eb8a963834 0xfbb1b73c4f0bda4f67dca266ce6ef42f520fbb98
If you want guys you can join my pool to, so get some hash (love) on CoinMiners pool >> https://eth.coin-miners.info/ 0% fee until the end of the month
I saw the high hashpower and thought he had problems with his stats because it went offline shortly afterwards again. But I remember I checked his etherchain stats too and there were so many blocks...
Thx for the quote thesmokingman.
Yeah looks like this was a scam after all... The lengths people go thorugh ;( Sad someone took a good thing like the open source implementation and turned it into this...
Just strange where that big miner came from all of a sudden...

Yep people are horrible. Glad I left a few weeks ago. Sorry for all of those that lost their ether. People suck lol
Yeah, that sux. I got about 3.5 Eth out of the pool before they went down. I lost about half a day of mining @ 40MH .. no biggie. I hope no one lost too much but I did see that huge jump in hash. Hope that guy didn't rent all of that hash!
I lost about 0.5 ETH, so not that huge of a deal. I saw the hashrate spike to about 80Gh. It also said that ~100 blocks were found. It does a real disservice to the legitimate small pool operators though. It certainly makes me a bit more skeptical and cautious of where I'm going to mine.

Where is Etherite? No updates on the state of the site?
