I cannot use npm to retrieve and install web3.js because the server where my node.js and ndm are installed sits within a proxy firewall over which I have no control. I can however, pull tarballs down from external sites and move them to my node.js server which means I could, in theory, use 'npm install ' to install a package that have been moved to the local filesystem.
There's just one problem. After much searching, I've not been able to find a tar file copy of web3.js. Does anyone know if web3.js is available in tar format?
