here is my dirty miner i know its not a clean build it doesnt matter it hashes away with 3x r7 370 + 1 r9 280x 66 to 68 mh/s all on a 750W PSU some crapy old mainboard i found in my collection of hardware also a core2duo was installed on it i saw 4 pcie slots on that old mainboard thought ok hook up some gpus and there you go runs smoth and fine had to build all my mining stuff in the outside cause of my wife going crazy... so i build all in my gardenhouse or cottage call it how you want hehe there the noise is no problem and the airflow is brilliant and fine cold in germany the weather is mostly cold hehe sorry 4 bad english
@Heliox How the hell do you get each rig down to 450w!?! Also how many GH/s are you rockin? Does that power meter happen to be on a solar converter??? I'm about to be so jealous....
@Heliox that is daaaamn hot. Have you tried mounting them in the other orientation? Guess it wouldn't matter too much when your power consumption is that low. Those babies should stay profitable for a long time to come.

Haha, it isn't that hot! Fans are spinning @ 20% (not one card that goes over 20%, and temp is set at target 75 (it's a stock setting in the roms and i left it like that) but they barely hit 50
But i get the point, spent a serious amount of time to get this far though. As said in pm to Lagniappe, you can check out my post over at bitcointalk. I gave some more info and also shared my first rom.
@Heliox R9 Nano's TDP is 175w. How did you get it down to 70? Seems very much impossible.
Yeah i know it's 175w, but like i said earlier, that's stock settings and stock rom.
I changed almost everything there is to be changed.
If you take another card, a 390 for example and you let it run at stock settings, and than you set -100mV core, it will also consume a lot less and will still work (in most cases).
So that 175w TDP is just a number AMD gave it. I don't believe in numbers AMD give
Oh ok so you moded it. Is that easily reversible? I mean if you will need to RMA to Amazon within 30 days they won't bother but let's say a card breaks after 10months and you will want to use warranty. Can you reverse it or will you have to send it back with the modded bios therefore loosing warranty?

yeah it's easy reversible. In case that i need to rma, i can switch the bios back to it's original position. and it's back to the stock rom.
I can also flash the stock rom back to the card when loaded into windows from another card.
Enough options
But chances of it dieing are smaller than constantly mining at core clock 1000. My cards don't touch 60 degrees and fans are barely spinning
Not the greatest photo, but the product of several days work (most time wasted dealing with shit PSUs). 4x R9 380 + 1 7950, giving me a total of ~100MH/s. Have another R9 380 and a 280x in the main PC for a total of 140-145MH/s. Should have another R9 380 later this week and that should give me enough for 2 eth/day.
hey what kind of power supply is that is it powering everything with no problems?
Thats a server PSU, Im using one made by HP which is 1200W.
You will have to do a small mods on it. There are some ready made add-on board for it if you dont feel like moding them.
The cost of PCIE power cables and the mod may not be worth the hassle though and obviously the risk of messing things up which could kill your hardware.

What do you mean you by set -100mV core? Because in afterburner i lowered the voltage and power draw or what ever other slider there is and nothing... my power consumption remains the same at the wall...
@Heliox you can drop voltage that far without a modified BIOS, eh? /wi6 cmdline flag in AB opens up more voltage control. And you can totally control mem voltage and aux voltage in AB.
Looking at those rigs makes my mind happy. It's a proof of living, intelligent people creating money while others are told to work for minimum wage in places like McDonald's.
Keep it up everyone! We make the 21st century happen.
So you guys still mining?? :-) - the prices lately have taken a real nose dive and the network hash rate is really going up fast... i'm not enjoying this so much anymore lol

The example (screenshot) i gave here above, will also do that, it's basically the same (yeah there are other nifty little tricks to let AB do things it normally won't do ) i know.
But again, not every card will give you the ability to change memory voltage. Nano, 390(some types), Fury X.. not possible.
You'll need to hardmod to be able to change the mvddc.
Only Hawaii cards where MVDDC can be adjusted without hard mod is 2xx series Matrix / Lightning and a few others. You see, the IR3567B controller didn't control MVDDC on those cards, extra controller chip with i2c support. As far as i know, no 3xx series has MVDDC via software/rom facility.
Less chat please & more pics, this is meant to be porn not gossip @bbcoin Your post on page 5, Is that Schrödinger’s cats fur i can't see on the corner of you rig? Or is it too early to tell?

what EVGA Super Nova PSU are you using? what Cooler behind the rigs? What GPUs?

@dlehenky What is your power draw?

Can you give me some advice on this ?
Well, if you have set the core voltage @ -100mV it Should lower your consumption. There is no doubt about that.
Make sure you set your settings in afterburner like this.
Exactly the same.
Reboot, try again. It should lower your consumption and temperature!
Good luck!
6x R9 390 Gigabyte Windforce 1160core/1600mem/powertune20 = 183.46m/h on a SINGLE eVGA 1600w Titanium (1660w from wall)
6x R9 380x Gigabyte Windforce 1080/1550/powertune 10 = 118.4m/h on a single Thermaltake Grandpower 1200w Gold (1097w from wall)

@rawr that is sexy as hell. Brings back memories.
