Development of the Ethereum Python Client

Hi, I'd like to help with the development of pyethereum. @vitalik is there a certain feature set or roadmap that you have in mind?

I assume the goal would be to progress the software towards a working command line client. Would the implementation of the wire protocol be a reasonable next coding task?
