I'm trying to CPU mine using geth only, just to check everything is working before adding GPUs.

Setup seems OK with the geth console reporting ...

modules: admin:1.0 db:1.0 debug:1.0 eth:1.0 miner:1.0 net:1.0 personal:1.0 shh:1.0 txpool:1.0 web3:1.0

etc

Mining seems to start
miner.start()
I0731 16:51:36.682529 2447 miner.go:117] Starting mining operation (CPU=4 TOT=11)
I0731 16:51:36.683189 2447 worker.go:503] commit new work on block 11952 with 0 txs & 0 uncles. Took 620.969µs
true
but miner.hashrate always returns 0

If I look at top, geth is only consuming 2% of CPU. This is all running within a docker container.

Any suggestions?
