Vitalik Buterin spoke to the Silicon Valley Ethereum Meetup on Sunday Mar 23rd on "Hard Problems in Cryptocurrency" which describes technical challenges that all crypto platforms from Bitcoin to Ethereum face.

    Note about connecting to https in 10:(the wiki) the communication with the contract has to be secure too. You can use tx.sender == OWNER because that would allow simulation as-if the sender is the owner.

    About timestamps, why is there a 'score-to-win', why not 'best score within timelimit'? I think the former is more lenient in terms of agreement about time. Edit: if an attacker can isolate a node, it would take ages for him to create a winning block, but 'best score' he can get it very quickly. However in both cases it is visible; either it takes long, or suddenly the best score drops dramaticly.
