@Amph which build are you using?

the gpu is not mine i'm helping another user, he said that he downloaded the 1.1.7 as I told him to do

besides this, are you going to optimize it for win7 also? or we will be stuck on win 10 with pascal?

    I have a 1070 wouldn't mind testing Win10/1070 stuff for you.

can you test it for me on windows 10 for eth? also the hash on lyra2v2 on win 7 if you can

1.1.7? where is that? I looked the other day and only found 1.1.6-pre

I don't have Win7 so no, sorry. I can say that win10/lyra2rev2 gets 41MH/s on average.

I'll test the eth/win10/1070 when I get home (5:30pm EST)

wow 41? i remember it was 35 for a 1070, are you sure about the 41MH? is that plug and play or with heavy OC?
  • JPSJPS Member Posts: 63
Should be Plug and Play... I'm doing 45Mh/s for each 1080 on that.
  • AmphAmph Member Posts: 106
ah 1080, i thought we were talking about 1070, this explain everything

OC @1950MHz boost clock, nice and cool at 77°C

if that is indeed a 1070 doing 41MH, that is impressive, it's almost double the 970, with less wattage(if you can check)

I don't have a Pascal yet, but you can use the new driver with Windows Insider Preview to get full hashrate on 1070 (26.7MH). 1080 is slower, which should be considered a bug that is yet to be ironed out by Nvidia. I tried it with code but that didn't work.

I'm not sure if the new page size options will become available to Win7/8. If not, there's not much to fix on my side.

I don't think I'll be buying Pascal until late August (going on holidays for a long period), so don't expect any updates from my side. Until then I'm having fun with AMD.
  • JPSJPS Member Posts: 63
Slower is an understatement. I'm still getting 8 Mh/s on it, regardless if I use 1 or 2 cards.

Has anyone with 1070 cards tried any of the 1.1.4-1.1.5 releases and compared the speeds to 1.1.7? I've only been able to achieve 31MH on 1.1.7 using a single GTX 1070, but have read reports of someone hitting 37MH on 1.1.5. Just wondering before I take the time to build an older release for testing if it's a waste of time....

I have a 970 and a 1070 in the same PC, I use a multi-seat software that allows 2 terminals off one tower. The 1070 runs 40-41MH/s on Lyra2REv2 and the 970 runs about 23MH/s on the same. Both are OC to the max stable.

Sorry didn't get to check out the ETH mining just yet, had a late day at work. Maybe tomorrow.

what is the exact buld for windows 10 on which the 1070 get the full speed? 10586?

can you try neoscrypt? i find it strange that ethereum work good like other algo on win 10 and neoscrypt is still the only one to fix, when on linux they are all working good

well something wrong here some say 26 other 4, are you using the last genoil build?

another guy on bitcointalk messaged me with another error on win 10 with 1.1.7 build
  • JPSJPS Member Posts: 63
    I have 1.1.7 running, yes. It does 4.17Mhs on 1070 and 8.53 on 1080 (or 2, I can't tell, it doesn't seem to make a difference if I run both or 1 1080).
  • AmphAmph Member Posts: 106
are you using the last drivers? can you check dxdiag?
  • JPSJPS Member Posts: 63
I am... and I've just received update 14383, no change on both cards...
  • vaultervaulter Member Posts: 7
What is the driver version is installed on your system?
  • vaultervaulter Member Posts: 7

There are already enough private developers on the AMD side. -_-

ugh nvidia spamming about 1060 , faster that rx480 (claims that faster than 980 too) price range ~250$ , and tdp ~120W http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/07/nvidia-gtx-1060-specs-price-release-date/ , thats looks like nice mining card on paper

    It's 20MH @ 90W.

i think you can push it to 24MH with 110W, pascal can be heavily oced without problem
