    Got noticed that the cards are not aviable.
    Price went up from 275€ to 350€

    I think to quit mining all together.. prices are too high to be profitable..

    A newbie building a rig and need some advise.
    Getting 6 Nvidia GTX 1070, 1300 PSU, i3 processor, 128Gb Ssd, 8GB DDR5Ram, win 10 64bit

    Suggestions on what MOBO i should get for this setup.

    Also, I'm residing in India. Do I require to have a static IP for mining?

    Which mining softwarre would you recommend? Claymore seems to be the most trusted one, and pool being nanopool?

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheapest you can get that supports your processor and has at least 5 PCIe ports.

    Im also still waiting for my GPU cards .. MSI geforce gtx 1060 armor 6Gb.. Hope they give bang for the buck :)

    So the initial mining rig im building looks like this:

    Mobo ASRock Z97 Anniversary
    intel pentium G3260
    8Gb DDR3 Ram
    PSU Corsair 650Watt
    120Gb SSD
    2x MSI geforce gtx 1060 armor 6Gb

    More GPU's will be added till i have 6

    Will post performance of this once up and running.

    Let me know when you get 6. I only had 5 on here.

    Hi guys, i test some different NVIDIA GPUs with Ethereum Mining and these are the results.

    The System runs stable for over 18 hours up to 117 hours.

    The Temp/Fan isnt absolut correct, every card runs in a different housing oder distance to another card.

    I hope you enjoy it and can be work with it.

    Cheers

    They hash 23Mh/s each.
    Not bad i think.

    I took windows firewall down.. never had an antivirus on this computer.. cause its brandnew.

    You mean the antivirus deleted the start.bat file?
    Can i keep mining without start.bat file.. what is it for anyway?

    * Corsair HX850
    * SSD 120 GB
    * 8 GB RAM
    * 4x Gigabyte AORUS RX580 8GB

    Modded the BIOS
    * Core Clock: 1150 MHz (-200)
    * Memory Clock: 2150 MHz (+150)

    Got 26.5 Mh/s per GPU, totaling about 106 Mh/s.

    Any suggestions for more tweaking?

    This is really going deep into the BIOS editing. A bit out of my league I'm afraid. I did the standard 1750 to 2000 copy, which gave a 3-4 Mh/s boost. Any suggestions which don't dig so deep?

    I noticed a power draw of 125W a card. This is a lot I think...

    Try to change the Powerlimit in MSI Afterburner. Some Cards will run fine with only 50% Power Limit. This will spend some W per Card.

    Bios Mod is really Deep, but it will work stable. (on your own risk)

    I've been able to down the power usage by about 15%, now resulting in about 110W a card. Still a lot, but when I go lower, the hash rate goes down more rapidly.

    anyone has different hash rates on the same exact gpu? I’m running 6x Asus Rx580 Dual OC 8gb doing eth+sia and 4 of my cards are hashing 28.8 while two of then only do 24.4..

    Anyone?
  • nobbienobbie Member Posts: 13
    @greatauror28 I've found this is usually caused by one card being pushed too hard - it then causes instability among the others. Try decreasing the -decri and reducing clock speeds for all cards until they are even. The wind them back up
  • DjithBitDjithBit Member Posts: 40
    Ok.. gtx 1060 6gb gives me 23Mh/s on stock with boost with afterburner. Set mem clock to +800
    Got win10 pro 64bit..
    ASRock z97 anniversary mobo.

    More tweaking possible to get it up?
