what ati drivers did you guys find the best for win7 64bit?
i'm using 14.5 it seems to be omega version, have 3 r9 280x getting about 67MH/s

Perhaps on Linux, windows won't like it for sure. ethminer keeps a copy of the DAG file (1.3GB currently) in system RAM for validation of nonces found by the GPU.

Is possible to mine with R9 380 2 GB model?

    What is performance of R9 380X ? As I can see its 18 MH/s per card? Same as R9 380 right ?

Hi i have a couple of msi R9 380 actually doing 20.46 on dwarf each one, and they are underclocked and undervoltaged with afterburner
  • adasebadaseb Member Posts: 1,043 ✭✭✭
Didn't think you could mine with only 2GB GPU memory, I thought it was limited to 3GB and above cards.

Guys, Sapphire Radeon R9280x toxic is at 20-22Mh/s as of writing. Im thinking of undervolting and underclocking. Seems even if the GPU runs at lowered clock, the hashrate never drops as mentioned in other threads. any suggestion on sweetspot voltage and clock speed? additional revenue on reduce power consumption. Has anyone done this?

Hi! Also got some 380s, how do you undervoltage them? I cant change that value in afterburner.. Also wondering if you know how many watt they use?

    My 380 @ 990/1500 gives 21.5 Mh/s and about 190W (3x380 rigg = 600-610W total with CPU/HDD)

Sorry i dont a killA-watt to measure it but i am guessing you dont have an msi card?, this option sometimes its blocked in afterburner for non msi, i have got the temps down to 60°C with 100mv undervoltage and 950Mhz clock, i was over 70°C

With windows 7/8 you can mine with 2GB with 1 GPU, but you need 4 GB if you want to mine with 5 GPU.

Unfortunately, the Hashrate drops to 17MHs with your suggestion. Im at 1100/1500 at 1143mv VDDC. Total consumption including mobo is at 272watts. 1 gpu only.
  • adasebadaseb Member Posts: 1,043 ✭✭✭
I took a seperate PSU and measured just the PCIe connectors and +12V riser . So with a mobo and bad efficiency PSU 272watts is considered normal.

Temp is steady at 68 C w/o fan. I tried lower the settings and voltage but gpu crashes.

I have almost identical values: Gigabyte 280x/1100 mhz/pulling 280w from the wall (with mobo). Hash: ~21-22

    TC forgot about GPU/MEM

    Win 7 / 4*Asus280x / 0.9.41
    GPU/MEM 1050/1500
    GPUv 1.144v (I don't optimize it)

    min/mean/max: 3839659/67314579/98828288 H/s
    inner mean: 77968316 H/s

    on pull shows 84-85 Mh/s

What driver version do you use to start 6 GPU on windows 7?

    from 12.xx to 15.7.1 - I can do 6gpu.
    14.12 right now.

    Your OS win 7?

    Hi Guys,

I'm just getting started with mining, and would really appreciate some help!

I am running Windows 10. How much of a problem is WIndows 10?

    I am running:

2x AMD Radeon R9 380 4gb cards (in crossfire mode)

    I am getting about 38MH/s

Is my performance too low for these two cards? Are there command line options for ethminer I should be using? I see mention of things like -cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 8192.

Right now I'm using the following command:

    ethminer.exe -F http://eth1.nanopool.org:8888/0x123myaddress123/miner1/[email protected] -G

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Also, what do you think is a safe temperature to be running at?
  • benjbarkerbenjbarker Member Posts: 30
Playing around with --cl-local-work and --cl-global-work settings I was able to increase MH/s by 10%, however it resulted in my cards running at over 90 degrees C which is dangerous from what I understand.

@benjbarker use this post just for benchmarks and not for questions. BTW, I think if you use win 7 or, better, ubuntu 14.04 you'll get something like 1.8MHS more for both gpus.

    2x GTX 970 @ 41.5 MH/s with @Genoil's awesome CUDA ethminer, CUDA 7.5 on linux 17.3 with driver 352.39

    sudo -s ./ethminer -G --farm-recheck 100 -F (pool eth-proxy) -U --cuda-devices 0 1 --cuda-grid-size 8192 --cuda-block-size 128 --cuda-schedule sync --cl-global-work 16384
Still trying to get the cards overclocked (voltage/power) & powermizer stuck on lvl 2 even when forced, anyone any idea how without biosflash? Please send me a pm. And if anyone has better suggestions on streamlining the hash lemme know too.

    Real mining speed at PoWhash:
    radeon r9 380 2 gb : 22 Mh/s ( 200W )
    radeon r9 390 8 gb : 31,5 Mh/s ( 330W )

I have a R390 Shapphire and Xubuntu 15.10 and I only get 26 MH/s... Why is that? I have tried the drivers that comes with Xubuntu and also radeon-crimson-15.12-15.302-151217a-297685e but still, I am not able to reach 30 MH/s.

    Could someone help me out?

    O

26 MH is normal now because of DAG size. Other might know better.

Sapphire.. Sorry to say, but they are one of the worst OEM card makers on the market.

My XFX R9-390's get 28MH at stock speeds. When I OC, I get them over 30MH (But I usually don't unless price spikes).

Anyone out there mining with a R9 270X? What hashrate are you currently getting?

Why I cant mine with GT 630 and GTX 650 ? With the GT 630 I get 240000 H/S ANd With GTX 650 I get 450000 H/S And Still I cant see mining in my pool? Why it happen? How I can fix it?
