ethos distro are willing to decentralize the mining of ethereum to avoid any 51% attack.. of course you can mine on alpereum (which can be in few weeks one of the 5 major mining pools). But you can also have a try to mine on teampool.xyz. Just point out your ethos to proxypool teampool.xyz:8818, and you will see.
