Credible Ether Exchanges

Hello. I am hoping some of you can recommend *credible* exchanges for converting ether to BTC. I live in the USA, so a US-based exchange would be preferable, but a non-US exchange works too. Thanks in advance.

I have used Coinsquare with no trouble at all. They are based in Canada, but also offer buying of gold and silver. Their interface may take some getting used to, but I had a positive experience and will continue to use them.
they can be reached at: https://coinsquare.io/

    Cheers!

Thank you Dr! I'm only a few miles from the Canadian border; I'll definitely check them out.

Any feedback on gatecoin.com? Looks like they've been around for awhile, and their site is well done.

Kraken and poloniex are both commonly used and US based, and I believe Poloniex may have the highest ETH trading volume of any exchange.

    Thanks! I'll check them out.

Do they have limits? In terms of how much you can withdraw in a single day?

Surprised that no one has recommended https://hitbtc.com I really like this exchange. Poloniex has a nice built in chat box where you can get to know folks, but I live in New York so BTC is dicey, a lot of sites won't even deal with you because of NY's crazy licencing policies. They may be toughting open source everything, and decentralization, but fear of auditors and regulators still strikes the fear of God in them.

On Thursday, Coinsquare announced plans to expand their markets business operations in Europe by the fourth quarter.
