Good work, and yes, I did get some insights on many things that I would not have considered if only working through the C++ client and LLL contract language creations. Thanks for doing this and spending the time.
I don't see how the local app (JefCoin/samplecoin) is started. It's located in ethereal/.../assets. I can start several instances of ethereal and transfer coins between the different accounts. Make a new contract on the blockchain. But how can I start a local app that controls this new contract on the blockchain, like JefCoin in demo (episode 3).
I have to use the asset_path, else it doesn't start with message: asset not found: you can set an alternative asset path on on the command line using option 'asset_path'
I have also used different directories and made transfers from one account to the other.
Maybe I have to reinstall eth-go/go-ethereum for a clean situation without the need for the asset_path.

But I don't see how to start the webapp (the resulting webpage, the interface to the contract).
The only thing I changed was the contract address
You are on the latest version right? Its poc5 rc8
comes up starting ethereum GUI v0.5.0 RC8
I did not post in the other thread to keep it all here
macee:~ jac$ ethereal -m -asset_path=/usr/local/share/go-ethereum-gui/assets
...
2014/05/22 15:09:27 Starting Ethereum GUI v0.5.0 RC8
ethereal -m -dir=".ethereal2"
(or whatever directory you want to use - I use about 5 different ones)
I forget what the asset path flag is but I never use it since I always run ethereal from
cd $GOPATH/src/github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/ethereal
You can save the html and js anywhere but of course make sure the js is in the same directory as the html

Not sure why you need the asset_path option
Sorry I can't be of more help
Is your install also on OSX or is it on Linux or Windows
Thanks for your help
