Guys, anybody tested xfx rx470 rs black edition 4gb? it's 7000 memory and 1260 core In my opinion it's the bset choice (200$ in my country)
P.S. What 470 is better for mining? I calculated it's this xfx rs b.e. if it does 22-330 like nitro rx 470 from boysie. Nitro + cost 20$ more than xfx and asus strix gaming 470 does only 21 mh\s

in my tread @ZanderM share his XFX 4GB Single hashrate - 25mh\s with moded bios. it's good, but his card works at 6600m and XFX RS 4gb be dual fan works at 7000m stock - so i think (hope) it will gives about 27 mh\s
@wemaymore@adaseb he actually has a good advice. Sapphire RX470 nitro+ uses 170W at default. newegg web site actually even says "less than 225". 6 pin is only officially rated for 75W, so they put another 75-95W on 16X slot, however most people use risers, which are not really designed for 75-95W, especially narrow one's with 'floppy'/Berg connector.
I will be returning my XFX tomorrow and replacing it with MSI or Sapphire.

interesting... As i know now sapfire nitro + 470 4gb can only 22-330. Is there any info about moded version bios for this card? I think this card can 25-27, but need proof. For now i can't decide what better m\hash \ price - rx480 8gb msi ref, 470 4gb nitro + or powercolor devil rx 470 4gb or the same 8gb rx 480. Electricity is free.
Wow how is the mem stable at 2150/800? In wattman I'm trying to set it on 2100/800 and my PC freeze
I ran one of mine at 2200 on linux - although I bumped some voltages not available in the bios editors. 2250, though... it is having NONE of that shit.
Someone told me that the memctrl and gpu voltages are connected in a way, that the Vcore is not allowed to go below Vmemctrl. And I tried and it seems true... That is new for me, hope it helps some others too. You have to decrease both in order to do a proper undervoltage.

Looks like that is true, because when I set Vcore on 800mV and mem on 850mV , GPU-Z reports vcore of 850mV~ gonna test it now.
BTW something fucked up with the Radeon settings... I was mining on undervolted settings for 12Hrs straight. stable and beautiful 126Mh/s @ 120W per card. then I closed the miner to undervolt it little bit more and my pc BSOD'd as soon as I clicked on th radeon setting icon

This happens when you take the undervolting too far. If it black/red screens.. it's memory MV's if it stutters then blue screens it's core MV
thats wierd. cuz I'm not even close to the voltage of the guys who modding the bioses here...
Yes I found also that the driver/wattman is very unstable itself, not because of the actual oc settings. I also found that opening the amd settings through teamviewer is much more likely to freeze/crash than opening it directly on the rig. Very weird...
Desctiption of the meaning of the hex values in mem timing, anyone? By only copying the 1750 strap in the 2000 strap I get the exact linear performance improvement from 1750, at 1950mhz 24.5mh. But id like to raise it to at least 26mh. Someone compared the mem timings in different brand 4GB 470 roms already? Maybe one has better timings for the same hynix r0c chips.
