I just want to say after reading this forum I was able to get my first card xfx radeon rx 470 4gb up to a stable 28.3mh which has hynix ram in it. But my second card which is the same but it had elipda ram in it I couldn't get it stable past 26.5mh but I noticed my asic quality is. 75.6% and the hynix is 66.7%. But all in all I'm happy with xfx. Pretty good card for the money.

Hello everyone. I need help. After i flashed my Gigabyte G1 RX 470 4GB(Hynix memory) with custom mod bios for better ETH mining, my GPU doesn't get recognize in windows. When i check in device manager i have yellow triangle and it say error code 43. I read that is bios signature what makes problem, but how to fix that? I use windows 7 and i try newest drivers...than few older version like 16.6 and 16.7 but i still have same problem. So can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Did you removed the earlier drivers completely?

Yes, normal unninstall, and i also try with DDU, and i get same problem over, and over again, yellow triangle in device manager and it say error code 43. When i flash back original bios my GPU works normally.

i have the same code43 problem with asus stryx rx 470 4gb(hynix). removed the drivers with amd cleaner. I will try different things tonight. Try with 16.9 driver if you haven't tried yet.

News releases of drivers uses bios signature check. use 15.9.1 or 15.9.2 drivers
  • VedranVedran Member Posts: 3
UPDATE: i find solution. I extract original bios with Atiwinflash, not gpuz, and i installed drivers version 16.9.2 and it work perfectly. I get 27.5 speed with 1100 gpu and 1950 memory with power limit +25% in Sapphire TriXX program.

i have a xfx rx470 4g 470P4LFB6 elpida memory, i get 26mhs ether and 840mhs dcr and 27.3 only eth, i try many bios and decide to create one because others give me only 22~24mhs,

i use the 16.9.2 driver version, trixx -120mv, cclock 1125, mclock 1880, memory timing strap 1325 to 2000...

any one have a bios with 29mhs or more to this xfx card?

hi, i just wanted to tell you, maybe u already know, but using the -dcri command on claymore you can modifiy the strenght of the second coin, so u can still get 27 mhs on eth and reduce the mhs on dcr but doing both instead of just eth at 27 or both at less mhs on eth

    @BliGun
I just got 6x xfx rx470 4gb and depending on memory type you may have to switch drivers, hynix is simple just copy 1500 straps all the way up, micron can be patch but requires 16.9.1 drivers and elpida custom polaris but can be patch and works like hynix (28mh). Hope it helps and try to just edit your bios as a wrong one may brick your card.

i have the same gpu, you try to strap 1500 to 2000, 1425 to 1750 and 1375 to 1425, 1500, 1625, set the max memory freq to 2150, set TDP (W) to 110, in saphire trixx you use 1125 clock, 1900mclock, -100mv

you get 27mh/s solo miner, 26mh/s and 740mh/s dual etc/dcr with -dcri 32 -ethi 8

in fan config i use in trixx: 75~85% at 60ºC, 85~100% at 70ºC, but the gpu stay in 65ºC with 27ºC in room

the power in gpuz is 80~90w

GPU1 is my 470 red dragon single fan

Tried to copy the straps 1375,1500,1625 with 1625 giving me the best results.
Do you think I can squeeze out a noticeable higher hashrate with other straps? Getting this hashrate already took me many hours.

If you're just copy+pasting straps, I assume, no. Especially with the more recent memory chips that have popped up in various models, some people haven't even been able to copy 1750 straps into 2000mhz without excessive memory errors or crashing. It's never been a better time to look into GDDR5 memory strap tuning

    Hello fellas,

Question, I got 2 Sapphire RX470 nitro 4Gs with elpida memory. I know that PBE doesn't support the elpida's, but for the life of me I can't figure out where the timing straps are in the hex editor for these cards. Anyone care to tell me?

What sort of hashrate do you guys currently get on these cards?

Also, can I still change core frequencies with PBE on these cards or will it f up the bios?

Hey man, check this post. There's a solution for this issue. It worked just fine for me: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/12497/flashing-bios-of-sapphire-rx-470-nitro-not-4gb-elpida#latest

    Hi guys

    I have the following setup:

6x GPU Powercolor Red Devil RX 470 4 Gb. It used to run at around 160 MH/s up until today after Win 10 update that crashed my miner.

I had to deinstall/reinstall drivers and now I only get this:

    ETH - Total Speed: 92.788 Mh/s, Total Shares: 19, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:18
    ETH: GPU0 12.761 Mh/s, GPU1 12.759 Mh/s, GPU2 28.994 Mh/s, GPU3 12.760 Mh/s, GPU4 12.761 Mh/s, GPU5 12.753 Mh/s

I used to have Profile in my MSI Afterburner app so that it was optimized for all cards, but now, only one seems to be set up (almost) correctly.

    Am I missing something?

What settings would you use? Core Clock is 1130 and Memory Clock is 2100 as of now.
