Can I use require?

I'm trying to use require instruction to load a module inside a JS in mix, but I'm always getting "require is not defined".
Is there any way to load a JS module inside Mix?

I think you need to load the node.js library to use "require(...)"

AFAIK under the cover Mix is using node.js, or am I misunderstanding something?
How could I load the node.js library?
