Hey guys, I just started mining in your pool, contributing tremendous 17.8 MH/s However, I am not able to set my payout adress for eth It always sais that the address has wrong format. I am using the same address for which I can lookup my balance at https://www.ethereum.org/ether. It is all numbers and lower case letters. Any help? PS: Which reward type do you recommend, RBPPS or PPLNS?
Maybe you didn't add 0x at the beginning of the address?
•RBPPS - Round-Based Pay Per Share. Like PPS, but payouts are delayed till a block is found and confirmed by the network. If a found block gets orphaned, earnings relative to it are not paid. •PPLNS - Pay Per Last N Shares. Similar to proportional, but instead of looking at the number of shares in the round, instead looks at the last N shares, regardless of round boundaries.
In a long term PPLNS is cheaper.
The only disadvantage of PPLNS is its variance of earnings because it depends on pool's luck. RBPPS doesn't depend on pool's luck but fee is higher.
Thanks for the clarification (and the fast reply)! Yes I added 0x, but right below the address field the message "entered value is not valid" kept appearing. However, I fixed it by first pasting the address to a local editor and than copy+pasting it again into the address field. Looks like copying the address from TeamViewer added some invisible extra character(s)..
TLDR: Coinotron, How to fix wrong payout address format: When copying from anywhere, make sure your address does not contain any excess characters by pasting it to a basic text editor before pasting it to the address field.
Another question: Now that I entered my first ETH address (had one for LTC before), all settings are locked, except for LTC. My ETH payout address is grayed out, do I have to unlock to enable the address or do I need to unlock only when I want to change some setting?
I'm assuming that "Auto payout" checkbox is checked. Now your ETH payouts are disabled. When you unlock ETH payout address, automatic payouts will be enabled.
In terms of hashrate - rather not. It is just Genoil's fork. One obvious advantage is that this implementation uses less network bandwidth. so if all miners switch to this version pool will be able faster send new work. That should slightly decrease uncles rate. Please ask creators from NiceHash they will have more to say on this topic.

My miners need really long to submit and get work (5000ms).
This outage had no impact on mining.
My apologies for any inconvenience caused.
I have a dual 295X2 system is this the right command line to get them all working?
We managed to improve uncle rate in our ETH pool.
Now it is about 6%. We are working on improving it even further. Though, that may not be very easy.

Lets wait a day or two and check if this result is persistent.
Just use our standard Eth port 3344 and this NiceHash fork of Genoil's ethminer on your own rigs. We suggest using latest version available here: https://github.com/nicehash/cpp-ethereum/releases
More info here: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/7346/bounty-for-ethereum-pool-operators-to-add-nicehash-compatibility#latest
is there any advantage using this "newest implementation of ETH Stratum protocol", compared to "serial" Genoil or Claymore miner?
One obvious advantage is that this implementation uses less network bandwidth. so if all miners switch to this version pool will be able faster send new work. That should slightly decrease uncles rate.
