All running now, but mining with cpu with my old notebook (on holiday) is not sufficient. Is there any working faucet online to get a small amount of ether? Can I use my generated mining address to receive it?
GTX880m hashes about 6-7 mh. But I cant farm it with my main machines. Its getting 50-51 with a 390x and a 290. I really need to get the farming working. I have a dual 590 machine and a 6970 machine that might just boost me into the 70mh area. It wont take long for solo mining to get pushed out of profitability.
My deepest thanks and gratitude to geekhaven, you are a rock star ... finally I'm downloading the genesis block ... and now on to mining with geth ... wish me luck ...
Written instructions almost up. Its still got some step omissions but I think its going to get most people through the process. I mean at least the commands are tested working and its using python 2.7.
Dude you're my hero. Finally, i've been looking for some clear instructions for over a week now. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

Just did it on a new machine. Waiting to see what my laptops 880m will hash at.
