hello,

i have a chieftech 1250 PSU that has 6 8pin cables for graphic card. I was wondering if i can split 1 of those cable with a 8pin to double 8 pin cable so that i can connect another graphic card. Right now my rig takes 740w so adding another one shouldnt be a problem. Exept if i cant split this cables. What do you think?

Thank you.

Regards,
HEki

I would avoid splitter or adapters powering anything related to the GPU’s (i.e. the GPU’s or their risers) as its not worth the risk with tendancies to get hot or catch fire. I have used them on occasion to power an SSD with a molex to sata adapter with bo issues.
