Should we continue to mine as always, or we will have to update the miners? Maybe switch to a new token after the fork, like when the ETC happened?

If you're pool-mining, you're not connected to the (eth or whatever)network, rather trusting your hashrate to the pool.

Ah, so the pool will do the thing and there will be nothing to do from my side
Unless the difficulty continues to rise and they drop the block earning by 40% . Hopefully there will be no need to migrate mining other currency.
