Has anyone successfully installed the AMD Blockchain Compute Driver released August 23 with a BIOS modified RX470 and Windows 7 64-bit?
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-Blockchain-Compute-Release-Notes.aspxI have tried and have not been successful.
The procedure I followed is:
1. Create a System Restore Point
2. Run Display Driver Uninstaller from safe mode.
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8744. Reboot
5. Install AMD Blockchain Compute Driver released August 23
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-Blockchain-Compute-Release-Notes.aspx7. Do NOT reboot
8. Run atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5 as Administrator to update the driver BIOS signature
https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher10. Reboot
After the final reboot, launching Claymore Dual Miner v10 fails with no error message.

I also gave up and went to whatever the latest AMD driver is(which seems to use more wattage then my older amd version previously (16 vs 17 driver versions?) .
Afterburner v4.4.0-beta16
You need to search Aug11 version on filestores. Can't find it now on AMD site.

I am using robinhood version installed via manager.
Encountered 2 problems so far.
- Suddenly my 470 hashrate dropped from 27.5 to 26 (I am running 1050/1870)
Cant seem to get it back up and it was fine for the first few hours of mining on new drivers.
- I had problems with this on old drivers and no idea how I fixed this but my 580 nitro+ just wont undervolt under 0.98V
I installed the beta driver 17.30.1029 on Windows 10 1703. I noticed that from time to time the RIG give error THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER and reboot.
As I configured to start mining as soon as windows start, so I would never realized that problem from remote access. I got that standing right in front of the RIG.
I don't know if this was e the cause but I lost one 120gb SSD Toshiba Q300. The setup don't recognize it anymore, tested on other machines, other sata cable.
I installed everything on other SSD, but thinking to go back to other driver.
Has anyone had this problem?

u have to reboot after u install new driver
then apply patcher after windows has reloaded
and reboot again
I tried on my normal PC, not on a rig. The card is on the PCI not with a rizer. Any ideas why it didn't worked??
Does anyone use this driver with success?
