How do I update geth on a Raspberry Pi

ChrisValentineChrisValentine Member Posts: 3
I have a Raspberry Pi working from an image that I downloaded to a micro SD card, but its version 1.4.10. I would like to update it to the current version (the rest of our private chain are all running 1.6.0) but with geth not being a module, apt-get update doesn't touch it. Is there any way to do an update?

    It would be upgrade then.

    Try the following:
    sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
    sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:ethereum/ethereum
    sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:ethereum/ethereum-dev
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get upgrade

Doesn't work - says it "could not find a distribution template for Raspbian/jessie"

I'm going to build a card with a different system on it.
