You know, I was wondering the big difference between the 6 and 7 GPU boards.. In reality, the overall cost per rig does go down and your Mhz goes up with the 7 GPU boards. IMO it would make sense to go for the 7 vs. the 6.. you're saving on the Ram/CPU/HD/OS (IF you pay)
I can confirm 4 on z170a M5, with enough faith in it to have 3 more cards in the mail. Eventually I'll try for 8 with some M.2 something something adapter thing, which I'll have to learn about.

the windows 10 can max identify 8 gpus for each CPU even if u got server MB it should be multi core for each 8 pcie slot that's the problem there is 18 pcie server MB but cost 2500$ alone without gear and need 2 xeon processors not good for roi

does the 990FXA-UD3 R5 works? it does have 6 pcix ports anyone, has anyone test this card?
maybe with updated MB bios
nevermind i already test it , works perfectly with the whole 6 gpus no bios update need it , no bios mod, no need to change options on the bios, works ok out of the box
