Networking (Wireless issues) when mining.
Any input here is hugely appreciated as I can't narrow down the cause at all.
I finally got around to building a rig today, the whole setup process was smooth and I was up and mining within 2/3 hours. Initially I was downstairs and didn't realise a problem. When I went upstairs however; I noticed I couldn't load any webpages, the wifi on my ipad etc had completely dropped. I couldn't even connect to the chromecast. I was lost, so I logged onto my router check the QoS (I have an Asus RT-AC68U) and saw my download / upload was hovering around the 1-200kbs range however with a 0.8mbps download and 0.1 upload.
I went downstairs, reset the router tried a speedtest downstairs was back up to 30mbps. Thinking that had solved the problem I went back upstairs but again my wireless signal was non existent (It's usually around 26mbps)
After an hour of frustration changing router setting I had not moved forward from this problem.
So I did a little testing.
Downstairs with the miner on or off I receive the typical 30mbps download however with the miner on as I walk away from the router the wireless speed drops dramatically till it's non existent (1 floor up). If I stop the rig mining however speeds are as expected and back to normal!
What is causing this? The rig is hard wired into the router.

TL;DR version: When the miner is mining it kills my wifi-range even though it's only using 100kbps and is hard wired.
Any input here is greatly appreciated as I've had to turn the miner off to be able to watch netflix and chill
